I think it's time for a new post don't you think!

Hey guys <3 There are so many things that have happened I dont know where to start a lesson.
Judging! Lets try that one, here we go!

I was reading an article about JB by some fake church website that hates Christians. I saw Bible verse used in the wrong context and t appeared to me that some people might see us as Christians that way. As judging and irrational people! A lot of people are the stereo typical 'Christian' Who talk the talk but do not walk the walk. As Christians we need to have a good balance of love and a sense of right and wrong. We can't throw our morals out the windows to accommodate people but  we need to show God's love and forgiveness in our daily lives! I often have a hard time with that. I might have more to add later <3 ttyl!

video games!

You know that feeling when your playing a game and it 'malfunctions' (really u messed it up)' and you die(in the game)! After that you get mad at the creator of the game etc, basically everyone but you! It's like that with God and His creation. He made the world perfect, with nothing wrong, we mess it up by doing something that isn't meant to be done and/or messed with and we get hurt! We end up blaming God for letting this happen and why He had to do this and that, when really it's our fault it happened because we didn't follow the rules God layed out for us! This example isn't perfect but it came to my mind so I thought I'd write it down! Next post... probably about the riot!

Atoms

I love biology.... It just amazes me, and kinda freaks me out to! It's like "so I'm really just a bucket of atoms!?" But the amazing this is God Cares about this messed up creation of tiny particles, so much that He died for me and my little buddies :p !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like seriously, just think about how amazing our God is that He would do that for us! Wow.... it always leaves me in awe, God is so good!

Friends

Friends can be so mean and fickle, at least the people who you think are your friends. One wrong word to the wrong person can destroy your social life! That's why it's important to have godly friends who you know put God first and will pray about dicitions before they make them. Most importantly pray about the people you are friends with as much as you can, it makes a big difference! I have recently found an amazing girl at school who I am now good friends with, her so called friends who have known her since kindergarten dumped her bc of a rumor! This just proves my point, pray about your friends and God will show you their true character. I'm sorry this post is kinda scatterbrained but there's a lot of things going on in my mind :p

The reason I haven't written in so long is because I have writers block....AGAIN! :p My youth group has decided to do an all youth church service over the summer! SO all the worship would be done by youth and all the preaching as well! I signed up for part of the teaching and I'm REALLY excited! I have sooo many topics I want to talk about it's crazy!

Back!

Sorry I've  been gone for a while with Easter and everything! Tomorrow My youth pastor is leaving the church to work at another one with his soon to be wife, they wanted to start fresh :'( We are having a huge going away/wedding shower party tomorrow. It's hard to trust God sometimes when the ones you love the most seem to be leaving. That's why it's important to keep our Eyes on Christ so that when others leave or slowly fade out of our life we have one Person/Savior that is always there. I will probably never get used to or understand why people leave when we seem to need them most, or become really close to them, but that is why I'm human and God is God :) He has a perfect plan :)

Abortion :(

A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said:

‘Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 year old and I’m pregnant again. I don’t want kids so close together.

So the doctor said: ‘Ok and what do you want me to do?’

She said: ‘I want you to end my pregnancy, and I’m counting on your help with this.’

The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: ‘I think I have a better solution for your problem. It’s less dangerous for you too.’

She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.

Then he continued: ‘You see, in order for you not to have to take care 2 babies at the same time, let’s kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we’re going to kill one of them, it doesn’t matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.

The lady was horrified and said: ‘No doctor! How terrible! It’s a crime to kill a child!

‘I agree’, the doctor replied. ‘But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.’

The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.

He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that’s already been born and one that’s still in the womb.

The crime is the same!

Chapel

We had a school-wide chapel today for Easter and it was AMAZING! The Elementary, middle and Secondary schools were all in one place to worship Jesus and remember what He did for us! Having so many christians congregating in one place for the same goal just floored me when I thought how great Heaven must be (with no speakers right over my head :p) It's hard to explain unless you've been in the same situation. Easter is 4 days away!

Good friday!

Good friday is coming up! To me it's always a somewhat happy day because I know that Jesus didn't stay dead and that He rose three days later. I can't imagine what it was like for all those early followers when they heard He was dead and buried. Jesus told them He would rise again but it must have been hard to keep that in mind when told the news. Also I couldn't imagine their faces when He rose again. In a way it seems easier for us now, the story isn't over by any means but we now have a Savior that has saved us and we can trust we will make it through each day.

Who Says?

I ADORE the song Who says! Each time I hear it I think of how God looks at us and with Him all things are possible.We are princes and princess, sons and daughters of the King of Kings! To Him we are perfect just the way we are, out flaws and all.   When we are with Him we never have to worry if our hair looks right or whether our teeth are brushed. It isn't important, He looks at the heart, all that matters is that we are spending time with Him and listening for His voice. As humans its hard to ignore other people's looks, but to God we are all precious. We should treat each other just as we would a queen or king. I don't know if this made ANY scene at ALL but I hope you enjoyed it :)

Idolatry

I got tickets to Selena Gomez's concert today!!! YAYAYAY! It's amazing how easily something can become first in your life instead of God. You idolize them or it, it's stepping out on the promise you made to God (aka Covenant). It's like Adultery, you stop looking to the one who gives you strength, and who you promised to be with forever then pay attention and lean on others who can't do anything but make your life worse. Well that's all that I have to say for today :p

more randomness :p

writer's block really sucks! I just can't think of anything really good to say :p I'm watching Back To The Future 3, it's so tensely annoying! :p It's a good thing our lives aren't movies otherwise we would all have had heart attack by age 12 :p Tomorrow is Sunday! I can't wait to talk to everyone and learn more about God :) It's amazing how I can be so stressed and have so much going on, but when I walk into the doors everything feels so calm and it's like you gain support to help you through the week. It shows just how important being with other believers can be. Instead of leaving more depressed then you were before you can be encouraged instead!

Prayer

I was just remembering my stay in the hospital. Many times it would stress me out so badly! Then I would go to my room, close the door and pray. Such a peace came over me that I cant explain. God came and comforted me in those hard times. He was In front of me, guiding the way. Behind me, pushing me on. Beside me talking to me like a friend. And above me watching over me every step of the way. Without Him I would not be who I am today.

REALLY RANDOM!

I love school! Isn't that an odd thing to say? :p Not the work but the sense of community and having so many role model teachers. I defiantly don't go to a perfect school by any means, there are all the normal problems but most of the time they are handled in a godly way. There is a reason the bible says to walk with the wise, it really does make a difference. It may seem odd but a lot of the time I hang out with the teachers, they have insight to so many things and many of them will listen when I blabber endlessly and a lot of the time we will inspire each other :p It helps me get through the day and to not go crazy lol Wow, boy can I talk!

Cake :)

I just finished making a yummy coffee cake. It looks really good! I first tried making another resipie and forgot to add something and It was a complete bomb! Our lives are the same way. Everyone we meet, everything we do (no matter how insignificant it seems at the time) shapes who we are for the better or worse. God has everything planed, every meeting, every trial EVERYTHING! So when we think "This can't have a purpose" We just have to follow God knowing that He knows best =D

hmm....

Honestly, I don't have much to write about except that school has started again :p boo! I know it is important and I see how but still... WHY!!!! :p Hmm... i guess that's the same with trials, we may not know the end result and they can even seem pointless at times but the truth is, they are building us into who God wants us to be. It sorta reminds me of one of my fav songs by Miley Cyrus called the Climb. We may lose faith or sometimes we feel like were losing to our problems but God holds us up :)

Gay? right or wrong?

I recently saw this question on FB that said "do you vote for Gay rights or against"Most people voted for it. This issue has been pulling at my heart strings for a while and I'm just going to write my views on it. The Bible couldn't be more clear on this issue, It states that being Gay repulses God. OUR GOD! It is wrong no matter how you look at it. SOme people say "everybody has the right to love someone" We all have the right to murder people, lust, lie, and a whole bunch of other stuff. It doesn't mean we are supposed to do it." Some people say "well they were born that way." Homosexual advocates will claim that homosexuality is genetic.  NOT TRUE!  Nobody is ‘born homosexual.’  In 1993, Dean Hamer of the National Cancer Institute claimed to have found a genetic link to homosexuality.  Yet in 1999, the results of an intensive study by the University of Western Ontario found that Hamer was in error.  The fact is that after all the attempts to show a genetic cause for homosexuality, no such genetic cause has been found.  A British psychologist has had enormous success in providing “reorientation” therapy to homosexuals who want to change.  This is not a surgery or a medical treatment, but it is effective.  How could it be effective if the cause of homosexuality is physical?  Well, it couldn’t be.  Homosexuality is a choice, not a genetic predisposition.   Even if there was a gene All of us as humans were born with the ability to sin. Sometimes we slip up (actually a lot) but it doesn't mean we should blatantly keep doing it even when we know it is wrong. Some of you may call me a hater or a homophobe, that is not true. God calls us to love everybody the way Christ loved us, but that doesn't mean I have to agree or support how they behave or act. WE are called to show them Jesus and in that they will want to obey Him. Here are some of the many verses to back my perspective up

Genesis 2:24-25 says, “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.  And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”  Hebrew 13:4 says, “Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.”  

Leviticus 18:22, and 20:13 both describe homosexuality as “an abomination.”   


In Romans 1:26-27 Paul is very specific, “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.”  In 1 Corinthians 6:9, Paul wrote, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.”  The Greek word from which the King James Bible gets the word “effeminate” is malakos, which literally means something soft to the touch, but is used as a negative metaphor to refer to a boy kept for homosexual relations with a man.  The “abusers of themselves with mankind” are those men who engage in unnatural sexual relations with other men – homosexuals. That is also how the NASB, the NKJV, and the NIV translate that verse.  Also in the New Testament is verse 7 from the book of Jude, defining exactly why Sodom and Gomorrah were punished – homosexuality. 


No matter how you put it, being gay is wrong. call me what you want but I follow what the bible says, and God knows best :)

small, but not with God :)

My family and I were driving through Richmond and we came across a long road of Temples. Each of them probably costing Millions of dollars in decor. Then in-between two of the most extravagant temples stood a small church called Richmond Bethel (we went there before we moved). The church wasn't noticeable from the highway running by it like the others, but What happens inside it can impact someone's life in more ways then the extravagant ones EVER could. It's like that with us believers. We may feel very small compared to others who seem to have it all, yet we can change someone's life for the better with just a few words. What's on the outside may at first seem important but when we trust in God His love shines through.

Sick

I happen to have lost my voice today. It's so funny that us as humans like to think that we are invincible but yet a TINY little virus can bring us down so quickly. We are only human! It shows how fragile we are. So it's funny when we trust our decaying self to get us through troubles when we have a God that's invincible to help us through it all.

My first post. Rasberries and Water

I don't know how many of you have ever  had a dried raspberry before. If you haven't there is something special about them. The flavor is tart and you can really taste it. It leaves you wanting more. There is no question about what it is. I was thinking that we Christians should be the same way. When someone meets us, we want them to see Christ in us. We pray that people will notice that we are different. A part of this world but not of it. We hope they yearn to know more about Jesus. We need Jesus to shine through every aspect of our life. Jesus wants us to be a light in the world, different then everyone else. NOT lukewarm. No one wants to drink something that is lukewarm. Though it may be hard to not conform to the world's thoughts about different issues it is important we stay grounded. When we start to water down our morals and what God says into the world's ideas we become like lukewarm water. Nothing different and nothing special. We have to remember that we as Christians are called to serve God alone and that He is the one that will always be there. Others may pass away but He will never. I hope this made some sense :) God loves you <3
